Happy New Year!
Welcome back to you all. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and it’s hard to believe that January is almost over.
A big emphasis has been placed on home school reading books this half term and these are being monitored. We are following closely the amount of children returning their book daily and the amount of children changing their books. Please could you make sure that your child’s reading record is signed by an adult starting that the book is finished.
This half term, in year three, we are running our own little business making healthy cereal bars. We have all given our groups names and the children have accepted the ‘Dragon’s Den’ type challenge of trying to make more of a profit than the other groups.
The project involves researching, tasting and designing cereal bars. It also involves designing the packaging, advertising and even taking part in a mini commercial which will be shown in every class and possibly in assembly!
We will make the cereal bars in the penultimate week of this half term and they will be for sale in the final week of half term.
Keep your fingers crossed for the groups.
As always, we appreciate your support and if you have ANY questions regarding what’s going on this half term, reading books, reading levels and so on, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE to contact us at school and we will be happy to help.
