Welcome to Year 6 Class Page

September 2018

Your child is beginning their final year at Primary School and will be working hard to reach their goals.

Along with preparing for National Tests in May, they will also be preparing for their journeys in High School. There will be challenges along the way, but with determination and perseverance, each and every child can succeed.

 

PE in Year 6 will be on Mondays and Thursdays. Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school on those days and inhalers if needed.

 

Homework is always available in class and children are encouraged to help themselves. In addition to this, your child will also have spellings and times tables to learn which will be tested weekly. Your support in this is greatly appreciated.

On Friday 18th May, Year 6 enjoyed a morning at Clip and Climb in Preston as a reward for all of their hard work during SAT's week and for making good choices.

On Tuesday 5th December, Year 6 visited Brockholes Nature Reserve.

The children took part in a variety of activities and were a credit to themselves and the school.

The children started off by taking part in a quiz about the different sorts of animals which live in the reserve. We all learned something, even the staff!
