Supporting
We support our children to be confident and resilient individuals. To be proud of their unique self and to have self-worth.
“We are so proud of our son and are grateful to all the staff for their support.”

Nurturing
Our aim is to empower our pupils to be active citizens, who are well rounded compassionate, kind, ethically informed, happy, aspirational and who aim to not only improve themselves, but also the world in which they live.
“Staff ensure that pupils’ spiritual, moral and social education is particularly effective.”

Enjoying

Children have a wide range of experiences including educational visits and interesting visitors as part of an interesting, challenging and engaging curriculum.
“Sudell is a fantastic school. We are so glad we made the right choice. I recommend Sudell to any parents I know our daughter enjoys school so much and we are proud of her academic progress and behaviour.”

Achieving

We have high standards and academic excellence, with a clear focus on subject specific teaching, through which children make outstanding progress, acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills to thrive and achieve in life.
In 2019 KS2 SATs our school had the biggest average increase in scaled scores for each of the Reading, Maths and GPS tests in Blackburn with Darwen. We exceeded local and national average by 7% in combined Reading, Writing and Maths. In Maths, over 94% of Sudell children achieved expected standard; an improvement of 60% in two years.

In 2019 the combined average percentage of pupils achieving the expected standard across reading, writing and maths in their SATs exams was 7% above national average. Our Early Years provision is rated Good by Ofsted and we are fortunate to have a dedicated team of staff who are utterly committed to the children in their care.
